Cooper Party Rentals, LLC is seeking a part time delivery driver/event installer.  Previous experience is welcome but not necessary. The ideal candidate is a self starter and can work independently except when additional assistance is required to accomplish a task.

The applicant must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be comfortable safely operating a 16ft box truck or pulling an enclosed trailer. The position is responsible for our vehicles (box truck/trailer) by keeping them fueled, cleaned, and maintained.

The job details include but are not limited to the delivery, installation, and set-up or take down of parties, wedding, and special events which may or may not include tent installations, furniture, lighting, backdrops, and special event rental items. Additional details include cleaning, organizing, moving, and sorting rental equipment.

Applicants must have a professional appearance, be punctual, reliable, & be committed to providing a positive experience for our clients. We’re not curing cancer but the service we provide is very important to our clients. They rely on us and we don’t let them down.

The rental season begins mid April and slows down around mid October. Some weeks will be busier than others. The ideal applicant would be available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons and some weekends with prior notice given.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years older to apply.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record (must be willing to submit to a driving record background check).
• Must have a strong work ethic and be dependable and punctual.
• Must keep a neat and clean appearance.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and random drug testing.
• Must have experience towing bumper-pull trailers and/or driving small box trucks.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds and work at a steady pace.
• Must have a full range of motion and dexterity including but not limited to bending, squatting, reaching above head, climbing ladders, push/pulling heavy loads. Willingness to work with hands & labor intensive duties.
• Must have problem solving abilities. Ex. Are you good at Tetris? Loading a delivery vehicle requires careful consideration around safely moving, positioning, and securing rental items while planning for the order in which they will need to be removed from the vehicle.
• Able/willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions for long periods.
• Able/willing to follow Covid-19 safety precautions.
• Able/willing to work some weekends and some nights (as event requires).
